This book is Dedicated to all Those Seeking Truth
Though some feel they already have the truth, actually, it is a continuing process with
untruth being sifted out, and new truth being added. Initially, of course, one has to have
an inkling of truth, for it to be added to.
The evening before the crucifixion, when Jesus prayed to His Father about the disciples,
and, those believers yet to come (John 17:20), He confirmed, “Your word is truth”
(v. 17).
The next morning, at the trial of Jesus, Pilate, who was not interested in the whole truth,
in ignorance rhetorically quipped, “What is truth?” (18:38).
“The secret things belongs to the Lord our God:
but those things which are revealed belong to us
and our children forever...”
(Deuteronomy 29:29).
“It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the
honour of kings is to search out a matter”
(Proverbs 25:2).
“And many other signs [or, attesting miracles] truly
did Jesus in the presence of His disciples, which
are not written in this book: but these are written,
that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ [or,
Messiah], the Son of God; and that believing you
might have life through His Name”
(John 20:30-31).
Unless otherwise noted, all of the scriptural text in this book is based on the
King James Version [KJV], or Authorized Version [AV], as it is also known.
